Sri Lanka School of Agriculture, Labuduwa was started
in 1994. This institute have training farm, hostel, lecture hall, office etc.
Agriculture graduate and Diploma holders are in the staff. In addition other
supporting staff included management assistant, Store men , Matron, watchers,
cooks etc. including labourers.
Diploma course was started and continued up to year 2000.
Later one year practical Agriculture training course was conducted for
Agriculture Research and Production Assistant in Department of Agrarian
Development. Around 350 ARPA’s were trained from 2005 to 2013.
Short term
training programme also are conducting for officers and farmers in their
request. Field demonstrations are doing for school students. Edible landscaping
and urban agriculture course were planed
to conduct during 2014 for youth people.Farm
products and agriculture publication are also sold from farm office.
